    Candidates must pass the Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Exam and achieve a minimum score of 70% in order to earn the professional designation of Certified Green Belt from the International Association for the Six Sigma Certification (IASSC).

    Exam Preparation  

    The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification exam recommends but does not require candidates to acquire training from a qualified institution, a certified Lean Six Sigma trainer, or through an organization. Candidates for the exam need to have a degree prior to Lean Six Sigma work experience and project management experience, although this is not a requirement.

    Exam Details

    1. The Identity Policy

    An official photo ID with a signature (e.g., a driver's license or passport) is required.

    While you are taking the test at the testing center, all your personal items will be placed in your temporary locker. Your ID and locker key will be permitted to stay with you at all times.

    2. Time of Arrival

    Please arrive 30 minutes early so that check-in procedures can be completed. A late arrival will result in your inability to test and forfeiture of the exam fee.

    3. Policy for Calculators

    A non-programmable, standard, four-function calculator, or a non-programmable scientific calculator is allowed in the exam hall.
    They will accept any silent, battery-operated, hand-held calculator without programmable memory. Calculators with programming capabilities generally have graphing abilities, the ability to store text or alphanumeric data based on the user's input, and function buttons (Fn, F1, and F2, etc.).

    4. Referrals/Open Book Policy

    IASSC exams are typically closed-booked, and you are not permitted to carry any reference materials inside the examination center.  

    5. Prohibited Items

    In the exam area, the following are strictly prohibited: hand-stapled materials, blank writing tablets, or tablets containing blank pages, unbound tablets, unbound notes, slide charts, hand-held calculators, and wheel charts.

    Application Process  

    You can apply to take the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt exam on the official website of IASSC. Here is the detailed process for you to understand.

    1. Submit your application:

    Online applications are reviewed within one to two days, while hardcopy applications take three to five days. After this there will be the review process to ensure you meet all the exam requirements.

    Note: In case you are not eligible to sit in the exam, you will be refunded the application fees.

    2. Testing Options

    The IASSC Six Sigma Green Belt exams are available in an online, proctored format, as well as an offline format through Pearson-Vue testing centers.
