Cancellation, Refund and Deferment Policy

Thank you for enrolling in our courses. We ensure that our learners have a rewarding experience while they discover, assess, and enroll in our courses. At upGrad KnowledgeHut, we are committed to upholding the utmost standards of quality in all our endeavors.

When you enroll in a training course from us, you agree to our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and this Cancellation, Refund and Deferment Policy (“Policy”). Cancellation and Refunds, and Deferment procedures are as outlined below:

1) Cancellation and Refund requests will be registered and considered for evaluation only upon receipt of the request at https://www.knowledgehut.com/complaint-forum or an email from your registered email ID to kh.grievance@upgrad.com. Except as mentioned in 6.2., upGrad KnowledgeHut shall strive to process all eligible refunds after deduction of the non-refundable Processing Charges (if any), within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of registration of such Refund requests (which shall be considered as the date on which all the requisite documents are submitted by you), to the payment source, without any exception. If a refund is granted, you will be solely responsible for any cancellation of any credit facility/ loan, including but not limited to applicable loan cancellation charges levied on the total canceled loan amount. These loan cancellation charges are decided by the concerned credit facility provider and upGrad KnowledgeHut has no role to play in the same.

2) To clarify, any refund processed will be after applying/deducting the non-refundable Processing Charges.

3) Deferment requests will be registered and considered for evaluation only upon receipt of the request at https://www.knowledgehut.com/complaint-forum or an email from your registered email ID to kh.grievance@upgrad.com. All eligible deferments will be processed in accordance with and subject to the availability of seats in the preferred batch.

4) Request for Deferment – While the first request for deferment shall not entail the payment of Deferment Fee, the registration of subsequent deferral requests for evaluation by upGrad KnowledgeHut shall entail a Deferment Fee of 10% of the total course fee. You will continue in the same cohort, until the request for deferment is accepted by upGrad KnowledgeHut.

Your entire learning progress will be reset in the event of deferment to a future batch. If a deferment occurs, you will commence the course anew, with potential changes to course content, schedule, days, and timings in the rescheduled cohort, which may differ from the current cohort.

5) For the purpose of this Policy:

5.1. "Specific Live Instructor-Led Courses" shall mean the following upGrad KnowledgeHut Certification Training Courses:

5.2. "Live Instructor-Led Courses" shall mean all upGrad KnowledgeHut Certification Training Courses other than the Specific Live Instructor-Led Courses.

5.3. "Money-Back Guarantee" course shall mean Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification Training

6) CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

6.1. To be eligible for a cancellation, you must fulfill the following:

Course Type Requirement to be eligible for a cancellation
For Live Instructor-Led Courses and Specific Live Instructor-Led Courses Prior to the Cohort Commencement
  • The request for cancellation should be registered before the date of commencement of the course.
  • 100% of the Course Fee will be refunded if refund request is registered more than 48 hours prior to the start of the session.
  • 50% of the Course Fee will be refunded if refund request is registered within 48 hours prior to the start of the session.
After the Cohort Commencement – Not eligible for refund.
For Bootcamp Programs Prior to the Cohort Commencement
  • Processing Charges – Non-Refundable
  • 100% of the Balance Course Fee will be refunded after adjustment of Processing Charges.
After the Cohort Commencement – Not eligible for refund.
For Online Self-Paced Courses 100% of Course Fee will be refunded if the request for cancellation is registered within seven (7) calendar days from the date of payment of the Course fee, provided that less than 20% of the course has been accessed by you.
For Money-Back Guarantee 100% of Course Fee will be refunded in the event of failure to clear in the first attempt despite:
  • maintaining attendance of at least 90% of the scheduled live training sessions.
  • completion of 100% of the assigned self-paced course modules including the short quizzes, prior to attempting the examination.
  • scoring at least 85% in all the weekly assessments, prior to attempting the examination.
  • scoring at least 75% in all mock tests, prior to attempting the examination
and subject to receipt of the refund request within seven (7) calendar days from the date of declaration of result of the relevant examination.

6.2. Refunds for Duplicate Payment:

Refunds of any duplicate payments will be processed via the same source (original method of payment) within fifteen (15) working days from the date of receipt of the request for Refund for Duplicate payment.

7) No Cancellation and Refund requests will be registered for the following courses after the Cohort Commencement Date:

However, a Learner may choose to opt for a Deferment or any other course of same or lesser Course Fee by raising a request to kh.grievance@upgrad.com.

Any difference in Course Fee for an alternate program selected by a Learner, where the new Course Fee exceeds the Course Fee previously paid by such Learner, will be borne and paid for by the Learner.

In the event that the new Course Fee for such alternate Course selected is lower than the Course Fee previously paid by the Learner, such differential amount shall not be subject to any refund and upGrad KnowledgeHut in no way shall be liable to pay for the same.

8) For all certification courses, learners who are issued examination voucher/s are required to complete the examination process in accordance with the guidelines, timelines and voucher expiry date provided by the concerned accreditation body.

Where no specific timelines are provided for completing the examination process, all Learners are required to complete the examination process within six (6) months from the date of completion of the Course. Thereafter, there will be no claims accepted by upGrad KnowledgeHut.

It is imperative that all learners adhere strictly to the provided timelines to ensure successful completion of their examination. Please note that upGrad Knowledgehut will not entertain any requests for extensions of voucher validity or any other claims whatsoever regarding the examination process, after the expiry of the provided timelines.

9) Instances of abuse of this Policy that will lead to the outright rejection of any requests submitted under this Policy includes requests from a Learner who was found to be in violation of the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use.

10) Refunds or credits for rescheduling the training cannot be issued for non-attendance.

11) upGrad KnowledgeHut reserves the absolute right to reschedule/cancel a cohort/class/session due to any unavoidable circumstances and all reasonable steps will be undertaken to inform the learners of such a change.

12) upGrad KnowledgeHut reserves the absolute right to revise this Policy without any prior notice.
