Maintaining PRINCE2 Certification

Renewing PRINCE2 Certification

PRINCE2 Recertification

The process of PRINCE2 recertification is not very different from the initial training. It consists of a multiple-choice test, which has been developed by the APMG International company and its partner companies. The candidate should pass this exam with a score of at least 75%. 

The PRINCE2 Recertification Exam consists of 40 questions, with each question worth one mark. Only one answer is correct. You will be allowed to make ten mistakes (20% of the total score) to pass the exam successfully. 

The exam takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete and is offered in two formats: paper-based or computer-based (online). You can choose either format for taking the exam, but you need to register for both types of tests separately. 

Once you have passed the test with a sufficient score (75% or higher), you will receive your certificate within two weeks after completion of your exam. 

You will be able to use this certificate for three years from the date when it was issued unless you decide to take part in another training program that allows you to extend its validity period.
