It includes device registration, device-to-cloud messages, cloud-to-device messages, device management, and security.

  • Device Management: Azure IoT Hub enables organizations to register, provision, and manage IoT devices at scale, providing device authentication, lifecycle management, and firmware update capabilities.
  • Message Routing: It allows messages from IoT devices to be routed to various endpoints in the Azure ecosystem, like Azure Blob Storage, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, or custom endpoints.
  • Security: Azure IoT Hub applies strong security measures that guarantee the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of data transferred between devices. One such unique example is the Azure Defender for IoT and the cloud, which includes device authentication, data encryption, and threat detection.

4. Azure IoT Central

Azure IoT Central is a hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform offered by Microsoft Azure that makes developing, deploying, and managing IoT applications easy.
