KNOW MOREGovernment offices across the UK have based their processes on a highly evolved project management methodology. Known as PROJECTS IN CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT, version 2 or PRINCE2®, this process-based approach encompasses principles and themes that come into play during high level management, control and organization of a project.Â
Project managers now recognize the value that can be derived from effective process management across the lifecycle of the project. The PRINCE2® project management framework can be applied within a large or small project environment to enhance the chances of success. The most commonly applied methodology in European industries, PRINCE2® can be tailored to suit any organisation and offers guidance on best practices of project management.
PRINCE2® brings in all the benefits that one seeks from a good project management tool such as greater control of resources, and the ability to manage business and project risk more effectively. As it is based on the experience drawn from thousands of projects - and from the contributions of countless project sponsors, project managers, project teams, academics, trainers and consultants, this methodology is practical and effective and can be applied to any project.
