Yes, you will get free e-learning access to 100 courses for one year.
You will be eligible for 32 PDUs on course completion that can be used for recertification from PMI® Inc.
PDUs recognize your dedication to the Agile world through the award of credits for every educational effort you make throughout your career. PDUs are offered by the PMI®, and every PMI certification, except the CAPM®, requires you to earn a specific number of PDUs per three-year certification cycle.
The PRINCE2® Foundation certification has lifetime validity while the PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate expires after three years.
The PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate can be maintained via your My PRINCE2 certification or by retaking the exam. Here is what you have to do to maintain your PRINCE2 qualification through My PRINCE2 certification:
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are credit points you can earn through professional training, experience, self-study, and community participation. AXELOS requires all PRINCE2 certified professionals to stay up to date with the latest project management knowledge. This can be done by acquiring CPD points.
After you have successfully passed your PRINCE2 exam, you can apply for the AXELOS membership. You will have to submit 20 CPDs every year for the next three years to maintain your membership. After 3 years, you will have 60 CPDs that will allow you to apply for the renewal of the certification.
For further information about PDUs and CPDs, please reach us at support@knowledgehut.com.
All PRINCE®2 certifications are offered by AXELOS, which is the accrediting body for PRINCE2® certification.
You can self-study and take the examination directly through an AXELOS Examination Institute like PeopleCert® without attending an accredited training course, for all of the PRINCE2® certifications.
However, undertaking a formalized training programme through an Accredited Training Organization (ATO) like KnowledgeHut highly increases your chances of being successful in the exam. Most importantly, beyond providing extensive exam preparation, the training will equip you with real-world skills and help you stand out among your peers.
Here are the steps you should follow to get certified in the PRINCE®2 Foundation and PRINCE®2 Practitioner:
On passing the exam, AXELOS will send you an email regarding the My AXELOS membership and how you can activate it. Complete the yearly requirement of 20 CPDs so that you can get a digital badge that reflects your achievement. The PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate expires after 3 years. Renew your certification by taking the Practitioner exam again or by maintaining the CPD requirements.
You will need to attend 32-hours of PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner training from an ATO of AXELOS and PeopleCert®, following which you will be required to take the exams to demonstrate your knowledge of PRINCE2 and get certified.
The results of your tests are issued within 2 business days from the date of your exam. If you pass the PRINCE2® Foundation exam and the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam with the required score, you will also receive e-certificates along with official results. Both the official results and the e-certificate will be uploaded on your PeopleCert® Account.
Renewing your certification enables you to demonstrate your commitment to continuing professional development. It also demonstrates the value of your knowledge of PRINCE2 to employers, peers and colleagues. Here are a few reasons why PRINCE2 qualifications are worth renewing:
The PRINCE2® Practitioner Certification exam is valid for 3 years. After that, you can take the re-registration exam, which has the same difficulty level as the Practitioner certification exam.
You can also renew your credential by maintaining the My PRINCE2 Digital Badge. The cost of membership is £50 + VAT every year. After activating your membership, you must earn 20 CPDs every year to maintain the certification.
For more details on the renewal process, refer to https://www.axelos.com/certifications/PRINCE2/maintaining-PRINCE2-practitioner-certification

Professionals holding PRINCE2® Practitioner Certification are required to renew it within 3 calendar years of its issue date. Before, a re-registration exam was taken to renew the certification. Since the exam has been discontinued, you can renew your certification by taking the certification exam again or earning the CPD points.
Some of the reasons why PRINCE2® re-registration is worth the trouble are:
PRINCE2® certification at each level has unique requirements.
The PRINCE2® Foundation certificate doesn’t expire, although the status of a PRINCE2® Registered Practitioner expires after 3 years of certification.
The PRINCE2® Practitioner Certification does expire after 3 years, after which the exam has to be retaken or the candidate has to become a PRINCE2® member.
There are two ways of renewing PRINCE2® Practitioner certification. The first way is to sit for the exam again after 3 years and pass it. The second option is to become an Axelos member, accumulate 20 CPDs every year and renew the membership status each year for 3 years.
When you complete PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Training, you will get 32 PDUs.
PDUs are credits that PMI (Project Management Institute) awards. Your educational efforts in Project Management are recognized through the awarding of credits. PMI certifications, apart from CAPM requiring earning a particular number of PDUs for every three years.

PRINCE2® is better for job prospects and it isn’t affiliated to a particular organization or industry sector. PRINCE2® credentials provide better compensation packages.
