PMI takes about 5 days to carry out an Application Completeness Review. If selected for the audit process, you will have 90 days to submit your audit materials. PMI processes audit materials within 5 to 7 days.  

There is no re-evaluation for the PMP exam. However, if you fail you can attend the exam again. Ensure that you use the remaining two attempts within a year of your eligibility period. If you don’t, you cannot fill the PMP exam application form for a year. If you still fail the remaining two attempts, you have to wait for a year from your last exam attempt before you can re-apply and write the exam. 

You can retake the exam if you fail, provided your next attempt is within your eligibility period of 1 year.

If you have already passed the test, you will not be able to take it again to receive a better score.

To schedule your PMP® exam through Pearson VUE online, this is what you need to do:

1. Open the website www.PMI.org and log in to your account. Click on “Schedule Exam” option present under the Review Application Status section.
2. The Pearson VUE page comprises of a space to enter the name of your testing program. You need to type PMI® - Project Management Institute in it.
   
   Note: You need to select your testing program before scheduling, rescheduling or cancelling an exam, or you could contact a customer service representative.
   
   
3. Or else, you can click on ‘A to Z list of all programs’ which will take you to a list of test sponsors.
4. The test sponsor name for PMP® is PMI® (Project Management Institute) which you’ll be able to find once you click on ‘P’.
5. Once you find and click on PMI® - Project Management Institute, you’ll land on a page where you need to log in using your unique PMI® eligibility ID.
6. In the next step you’ll have to choose between Center Based Test or Online Proctored Test option.

If you select CBT option:

Continue with the below-mentioned scheduling instructions to take up the PMP® Exam (CBT) in Kolkata Test Center:

1. Click on Next after selecting the 'I will be scheduled for a future date at a test center’ option.
2. Review the View Testing Policies on the next page. Click on Schedule this exam.
3. Select the test center, date, and time for your PMP® certification exam.
4. Review the appointment and click on Proceed to Checkout.
5. Click on Submit Order to confirm your appointment.
6. You will receive a confirmation mail from Pearson VUE.

If you select Online Proctored Test:

You need to consider the following steps if you choose to take up the PMP® exam in Kolkata Test Center through Online Proctored Test:

1. Review and agree to the online proctoring policies and click ‘Next’.
2. Click on ‘View Testing Policies’ and then click on ‘Schedule This Exam’.
3. Select the date and time. You can schedule your PMP® exam at any time of the day between Tuesday to Saturday.
4. Review your appointment details and then click on ‘Proceed to Checkout’.
5. Complete the checkout by following the next steps and then click on ‘Submit Order’.

Cancel the exam within 30 days of the scheduled date and a fee of $70 will be charged. However, you will get no refunds if you cancel the exam within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment.

The Project Management Institute (PMI)® is yet to come up with any update regarding the Paper-based Testing (PBT). All the candidates who had their PBT exam scheduled on or after 1st July 2019 will have their exam moved to a Pearson VUE test center location.

Here is how you can schedule the PMP® Exam via Telephone with Pearson VUE:

• Step 1 - From the official website, find the contact centre number for your region and get in touch with a representative.
• Step 2 - Give the representative your details including the testing program, the name of your exam, and your PMI.
• Step 3 - The last step of the scheduling process is the verification of your name, phone number, address, email address.

To schedule the PMP® exam with test accommodations with Pearson VUE, follow the below-mentioned steps:

• Get in touch with a representative from the Pearson VUE Contact center for your region by taking the number from the official website.
• Next, you have to provide your details regarding your testing program, the name of your exam and your PMI® ID.
• At the end, there will be the verification of your name, phone number, email address and address.

After you have submitted the PMP® certification fee or PMP® application audit, an email will be sent to you stating that the payment has been confirmed. This email will also contain the 9-digit eligibility ID.

To reschedule or cancel your exam, here is what you need to do:

• Visit the website www.PMI.org and log in.
• Under the Review Application Status section, you will find the option Reschedule Exam or Cancel Exam.
• Select the exam you want to reschedule or cancel and you will find an option to do the same. 
   Note - Note that you won’t get your fee back if you cancel your exam just 48 hours before the exam.

You should take the Online Proctor exam if you wish to take the exam from the comfort of your home or office, or for some reason are unable to travel. Also, you need to have the right equipment for the exam.

Reviewing the system, environment, technical and testing protocol requirements specified is important before you schedule an appointment. This is how you can check it:

1. Run System test and exam simulation
   • Download the system in your computer and run the exam simulation.
   • Have a working internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone.
   • Take a one-question exam to check your secured browser connection.

If you happened to cancel your appointment for any reason, you can claim a refund of the exam fee. You have to submit your claim within 30 days before expiry of your eligibility for the exam. After your refund is processed and your eligibility period is over, your application would be closed. 

The validity of the PMP® Certification is 3 years. The PMI Certification can be renewed by obtaining PDUs for fulfilling the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR).

Earning PDUs is compulsory for maintaining the PMI Certification as an integral part of Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR). Earning a total of 60 PDUs is mandatory for fulfilling the CCR requirement and renewing the PMI Certification.

PMI requires that to maintain your credential in good standing, you must earn a minimum number of PDUs in each of the skill areas of the PMI Talent Triangle—technical, leadership, and strategic and business management. However, PDUs earned through education can exceed this amount and there is no limit on the number of PDUs that can be earned in education. The more knowledge you obtain through education in a related category, the better equipped you will be to practice as a competent Project Manager.
